Record Backlog At Port Of LA Effecting Local Businesses

“Some of the national retailers are chartering planes to get product into the state and country. As container ships continue to sit outside the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and with the shortage of truck drivers and warehouse workers, small and mid-sized retailers will be hit hardest. We are seeing small business, unfortunately, not able to get their merchandise in time for the holiday season so we are really starting to see the effects of this and pretty soon the consumers will as well. This year, consumers shouldn’t wait to buy what they want because there is no guarantee they will be able to find it again. State lawmakers also need to do more to address and resolve the supply chain issues.”
